Structured in five academic years with no more than thirty students per year, this course takes advantage of the potential of the existing academic structure, with several courses taught simultaneously in the same space of the University, promoting a constant intersection and partnership between different areas of knowledge and increasing interdisciplinary and strengthening team work. With a highly personalized teaching method, with a strong practical component, this architecture and urbanism course as a prime focus on the ecological complexity of the urban habitat.
Under this global pedagogical strategy, the specifics of Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environment, Social Sciences, or Health Sciences, intersect and inform each other mutually within a dialectical process of resonance of today reality, ensuring the students not only with the acquisition of specific skills in Architecture and Urbanism as well as a direct contact with other practices and knowledge, certainly fruitful on a perspective of future integration in the labour market.
Thus, along with an artistic education, the adopted teaching strategy guarantee to the future architects a real and effective capacity to intervene professionally both in architecture and planning and in the construction, as well the capacity to deal with new emerging activities recently integrated on Architect’s profession.
